ServiceNow Alliance Executive at Vonage - Remote UK — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This role offers fully remote flexibility, making it a genuine option for digital nomads — provided you can navigate the timezone and travel demands inherent to a field-facing alliances role.
Timezone considerations: The role is hinted to be UK-based, which likely means a preference for GMT/BST working hours. However, alliance and partner roles at global companies like Vonage often require occasional calls with US-based counterparts (EST/PST), so expect some schedule flexibility to overlap across timezones. This is not a fully async role — executive stakeholder engagement and joint sales calls demand live availability.
Travel reality: The job explicitly requires attending industry events and leading joint field events with ServiceNow. This means recurring business travel — likely to UK and European ServiceNow hubs, plus potential US travel for major events like Knowledge (ServiceNow's annual conference). A nomad lifestyle is possible between event cycles, but you'll need a stable base for visa and compliance purposes.
- Lisbon: GMT timezone alignment is near-perfect. Monthly costs ~£1,800–2,500 for a comfortable lifestyle. Portugal's Digital Nomad Visa is an option for non-EU citizens.
- Bangkok: Significant timezone gap (GMT+7) makes live executive calls challenging. Lower cost of living (~£1,200/month), but the timezone friction is a real constraint.
- Amsterdam: Excellent for UK-timezone work, easy Schengen access, and a major tech/SaaS hub that aligns well with ServiceNow ecosystem networking.
No explicit coworking stipend or equipment budget is mentioned — worth clarifying during negotiations.
