Traveler-Friendly Insight

Launch Potato is explicitly a remote-first company operating across 18 countries, making this role a strong candidate for location-independent work. However, there's an important caveat: the job listing specifies USA only (salary is benchmarked to "nearest major metro"), meaning this is US-based remote, not globally open. Digital nomads holding US citizenship or a valid US work authorization can still leverage significant flexibility.

Async-friendliness: The role is execution and output-focused ("we measure work by impact, not activity"), suggesting reasonable schedule flexibility. However, cross-functional collaboration with Copy, Design, and Media teams implies some overlapping hours are likely expected — probably within a US timezone band (ET/CT/PT).

Salary vs. nomad cost of living: At $100K–$120K USD annually, your purchasing power stretches dramatically in popular nomad hubs:

  • Lisbon, Portugal: ~$2,200/mo for a comfortable lifestyle — leaves $6K+/mo after expenses
  • Bangkok, Thailand: ~$1,500/mo comfortably — exceptional savings potential
  • Medellín, Colombia: ~$1,200–$1,800/mo — one of the best value-to-quality ratios in LATAM

Note that working remotely from abroad as a US-employed W-2 or contractor may require tax planning. No travel-specific perks (coworking stipend, equipment budget) are explicitly mentioned, though "competitive benefits" may include some. Confirm with the hiring team before relocating internationally.
