Oracle Fusion SCM Lead - Remote Mexico or Brazil — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
Remote-First, Nearshore-Anchored Role
This position is explicitly remote-first, but with a geographic constraint: you must be based in Mexico or Brazil. This is a nearshore delivery model, meaning the company wants timezone alignment with US-based client stakeholders. Expect working hours to overlap with US Central/Eastern time zones (roughly UTC-5 to UTC-6), which limits true location flexibility within those two countries.
Timezone & Schedule Considerations
The role requires leading live workshops and presenting to client leadership, so it is not fully async. Scheduled synchronous collaboration is a core requirement. Digital nomads who prefer async-first work will find this challenging, though the overall remote model does allow flexibility between meetings.
Visa & Location Options
- Mexico: Temporary Resident Visa or the Temporary Resident for Remote Workers category suits long-term stays. Popular nomad hubs like Mexico City, Guadalajara, or Playa del Carmen offer strong infrastructure.
- Brazil: Brazil launched a Digital Nomad Visa (VITEM XIV) for remote workers earning abroad – an excellent fit for this role type.
Cost of Living Snapshot
- Mexico City: ~$1,500–2,200/mo comfortable living – very favorable for a senior consulting rate.
- Medellín, Colombia: Not an allowed country, but nearby context; Mexico and Brazil offer similarly competitive costs.
- São Paulo: Higher costs (~$2,000–3,000/mo) but strong professional networking for enterprise ERP consultants.
Oracle Fusion Cloud Lead – Logistics & Supply Chain Management
Greenfield Oracle Fusion Implementation
Company: Tessera Labs AI
Role Type: Senior consulting engagement – full-time or contract, workstream-critical role
Location: Nearshore, based in Mexico or Brazil – remote-based delivery model; excellent business English required for direct engagement with client stakeholders and leadership
Reports To: Program Director / Engagement Lead, Tessera Labs AI
About the Role
Tessera Labs AI is a technology product firm delivering next-generation, AI-accelerated enterprise transformation programs. We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Cloud Lead to own the Logistics and Supply Chain Management (SCM) workstream for a greenfield Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation for a fast-growing client.
This is a greenfield implementation from a process and configuration standpoint – there is no legacy SCM configuration to reverse-engineer or carry forward. The opportunity is to stand up Oracle Fusion Cloud Inventory Management, Order Management, Indirect Procurement, and related logistics processes from a blank slate, configured to Oracle standard wherever possible.
Data is a different story: item, article, inventory, and other master and historical data still needs to be extracted, transformed, and loaded (ETL) from the client's legacy ERP into Oracle Fusion, and this role supports that migration effort alongside the functional design work.
This is a highly cross-functional, business-facing role. You will:
- Run discovery and design workshops directly with logistics, supply chain, and procurement stakeholders – including ownership of the Indirect Procurement value stream
- Translate requirements into working Oracle Fusion design and configuration
- Own the documentation trail from business requirement through configuration and test
- Own the integration design connecting Oracle Fusion to Shopify for e-commerce order and inventory synchronization
- Manage integrations with the client's warehouse management system(s) for outbound and inbound logistics, alongside adjacent Oracle Fusion modules
This is a nearshore delivery role, based in Mexico or Brazil, working in a remote-first model alongside Tessera's distributed FDE delivery and AI engineering teams. Because you will be running workshops and presenting directly to business stakeholders and client leadership, excellent business English – spoken and written – is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate business process workshops with logistics, supply chain, procurement, and operations stakeholders to capture requirements for a greenfield Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation, spanning Inventory Management, Order Management, Indirect Procurement, and related logistics processes.
- Own end-to-end functional configuration of Oracle Fusion modules – Inventory Management, Order Management, and Procurement – with particular ownership of the Indirect Procurement value stream, translating workshop outcomes into a working, standard-first system design.
- Configure and maintain the Oracle article/item master setup in line with fashion and apparel industry best practices (e.g., style, color, and size hierarchies, seasonal and pre-pack/kit structures) and Oracle Retail conventions.
