Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is listed as remote for most of Australia, with a hybrid arrangement only for those based in Sydney, NSW. If you already hold Australian working rights and are based elsewhere in Australia, this is a genuine remote opportunity — no relocation required.

Timezone constraints are significant: Entertainment travel is inherently time-sensitive, with client emergencies and talent movements that can arise outside standard hours. The posting explicitly asks for willingness to flex roster start and finish times, which signals irregular hours rather than a strict 9–5. This is not a passive async role — responsiveness is core to the job.

For digital nomads, the critical limitation is the full Australian working rights requirement. This rules out most tourist or digital nomad visa arrangements in other countries. You must be legally based in Australia (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work visa holder).

  • Sydney: High cost of living — rent for a 1-bed apartment averages AUD $2,800–$3,500/month in the CBD.
  • Melbourne or Brisbane: More affordable alternatives at AUD $1,800–$2,500/month, and still qualify as remote locations for this role.
  • Regional Australia: Towns like Byron Bay or the Sunshine Coast hinterland offer significantly lower costs with reliable NBN internet — viable remote bases.

The travel industry perks and discounts are a genuine plus for the lifestyle-oriented worker, potentially reducing personal travel costs significantly.
