Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is remote-first but comes with a firm timezone requirement: 9AM–6PM Thailand Time (UTC+7). That's a fixed 9-hour window, which significantly constrains location flexibility. You must be able to work reliably within this schedule regardless of where you are based.

Timezone compatibility for nomads:

  • Southeast Asia (Thailand, Bali, Vietnam, Philippines): Perfect alignment — this is the target timezone and arguably the best region for this role.
  • Eastern Australia / Japan / South Korea: Workable with a 2–3 hour offset, but mornings would start very early.
  • Europe / Americas: Largely incompatible — 2AM UTC start time means middle-of-night shifts for most European and all American timezones.

Visa considerations: Cloudbeds explicitly cannot sponsor visas, so you must already hold the right to work in your location. Thailand's LTR (Long-Term Resident) visa or the popular Thailand Elite visa are options for nomads who want to base themselves in-country. Neighboring countries like Vietnam and Bali (Indonesia) offer low cost of living and UTC+7/+8 compatibility.

Cost of living context (no salary disclosed): Based in Bangkok or Chiang Mai, monthly living costs for a comfortable nomad lifestyle run roughly $800–$1,500/month, making even a mid-range salary highly livable. The home office stipend is a practical perk for setting up a reliable workspace.
