Traveler-Friendly Insight

This is one of the most nomad-friendly roles you'll find. Remote.com is itself the company that enables global employment — and they practice what they preach. Every position is fully remote, async-first, and explicitly open to workers on 6 continents.

Async-friendly schedule: The role is built on asynchronous communication with flexible working hours, meaning you are not anchored to fixed daily meetings. This gives genuine freedom to work from different time zones — though note the position is scoped to AMER, so some overlap with Americas business hours may be expected for enterprise client calls.

Visa considerations: Because this role is hired through AMER countries (US, Canada, LATAM), you'll need legal work authorization in one of those regions. Digital nomad visas in Costa Rica, Colombia, or Brazil can be viable if you're an existing resident. For US/Canada citizens traveling abroad, the async nature makes short-stay tourist visas workable in most destinations.

Cost-of-living comparison (mid-range salary ~$88K USD/year):

  • Medellín, Colombia: ~$1,500–2,000/mo comfortable living — this salary affords an exceptional lifestyle.
  • Lisbon, Portugal: ~$2,500–3,200/mo — still very comfortable, though outside the AMER hiring scope.
  • Mexico City, Mexico: ~$1,800–2,500/mo — strong nomad infrastructure and AMER-aligned timezone.

Travel perks: Home office budget, IT equipment stipend, and a coworking space budget are all included — ideal for nomads who rotate between locations.
