Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is remote-first and US-based, which is a solid foundation for location-flexible work — but there are meaningful constraints to consider as a digital nomad or frequent traveler.

Travel requirement: The role requires up to 25% travel to client sites for onboarding, training, and optimization. This means roughly one week per month on the road domestically. While that adds flexibility in some respects, it also requires you to maintain a reliable US base and be available for client-facing visits on relatively short notice.

Timezone considerations: Customers are US healthcare organizations (hospitals, medical practices). Expect meetings aligned to US business hours (ET–PT range). Working from Europe or Asia full-time is not realistic — staying within US time zones or at most a 1–2 hour offset is advisable.

Salary vs. nomad cost of living: At $70,000/year (~$5,833/month), consider these comparisons:

  • Medellín, Colombia: ~$1,500–2,000/month comfortable living — leaves strong savings margin.
  • Lisbon, Portugal: ~$2,500–3,000/month — tight but feasible, though work authorization would be an issue without a Portuguese digital nomad visa.
  • Bangkok, Thailand: ~$1,500–2,000/month — excellent value, but the timezone gap (UTC+7) makes US client calls very difficult.

Bottom line: Best suited for US-based nomads who travel domestically or to nearby time zones (Mexico, Caribbean). The 25% client travel and US healthcare client base make full international nomadism impractical.
