Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is explicitly described as remote/home-office, making it a genuine location-flexible opportunity — a solid fit for experienced supply chain professionals who prefer to work from anywhere in the Americas.

Schedule & Timezone: The job description does not mandate fixed hours, but the role requires close coordination with suppliers across Mexico, Central America, and South America. Expect to align with North and Latin American business hours (UTC-5 to UTC-8). Occasional factory visits and supplier meetings will likely require in-person travel to the region, so this is more "travel-friendly" than a pure desk job — you'll be on the road with purpose.

Visa considerations: If you're based in Mexico, countries like Colombia (digital nomad visa available), Panama, or Brazil (long-stay tourist options) are workable bases. Mexico itself offers a Temporary Resident visa for remote workers. Because the role involves supplier site visits across Latin America, frequent short-stay tourist entries to neighboring countries are also viable.

Cost of living context (no salary disclosed):

  • Mexico City: Very affordable base (~$1,200–$2,000/mo comfortable living), excellent connectivity, and central to the primary supplier geography.
  • Medellín, Colombia: Popular nomad hub (~$1,000–$1,800/mo), close timezone alignment, digital nomad visa available.
  • São Paulo, Brazil: Higher cost (~$1,800–$3,000/mo) but strong manufacturing ecosystem proximity.

No travel perks (coworking stipend, equipment budget) are explicitly mentioned, so clarify these during the interview process.

THE ROLE

Sourcing Manager, Apparel

We are seeking a self-starter and problem-solver who is successful in combining technology and data into best-in-class outcomes. The candidate is energized by solving complex business problems and consistently effective in making high-judgment decisions at a rapid pace amidst frequent ambiguity. The ideal candidate thrives in an environment where strategy, innovation, and decision-making are intentionally distributed, and where candor, speed, and data are highly valued.

The Sourcing Manager, Americas/Apparel will focus on sourcing opportunities in Mexico, Central America, and South America but is not limited to these regions. This role is critical to optimizing Quince's supply chain by re-sourcing existing products with long lead times and high logistics costs, as well as identifying and launching new products from the Americas region to drive business growth. The Sourcing Manager will be responsible for scouting potential suppliers, pitching them on Quince's business model, conducting cost analyses for key products, and onboarding suppliers into our fast-paced supply chain. Additionally, they will ensure supplier continuity, conduct periodic business reviews, and drive operational efficiencies.

This role is pivotal to Quince's continued growth and success. Enabling Americas Sourcing to its full potential will drive faster lead times, lower logistics costs, and greater alignment with our Made-to-Consumer (MTC) model.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a category supply chain strategy, including multi-sourcing for the Apparel (women's/men's/kids) segment, across bottoms.
  • Identify, vet, and onboard supplier partners, coaching them to operate within Quince's rapid replenishment, M2C (Made-to-Consumer) model.
  • Train suppliers on Quince OS, including operational efficiency (rapid lead times, consumer focus), financial modeling (high ROIC), and technical capabilities (Vendor Portal).
  • Product Expansion: Collaborate with Merchants and Product Development teams to introduce new styles and colors approved through our NPC process.
  • Drive Operational Excellence:
    • Ensure high-quality standards (<0.5% defect rate).
    • Optimize supply chain for speed and accuracy (Replenishment Lead Time < 14 days).
    • Maintain inventory availability (>99% in-stock).
    • Improve margin accretion through cost efficiencies and strategic sourcing.
  • Conduct Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews with supplier management, analyzing strategy, performance highlights, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Supplier Management with major U.S.-based retailers.
  • Established factory partnerships within bottoms apparel across the Americas (Mexico, Central America, South America) and/or Asia (including India, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and China, where relevant).
  • Passion for product development with a track record of leveraging vendor expertise to design, cost-engineer, and bring products to market.
  • Strong general management (GM) mindset, with experience in lean manufacturing, just-in-time (JIT) processes, and supply chain optimization.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical, with a strong focus on execution, problem-solving, and process improvement.
  • Natural connector who builds and maintains strong relationships between internal teams and supplier partners to drive collaboration and shared success.
  • Proactive and assertive, with the ability to self-manage in a remote/home-office setting while staying closely connected to the broader organization.
  • Excellent communicator, with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to influence and align stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
