Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is not suitable for digital nomads or location-independent workers. Teleperformance explicitly requires applicants to reside in one of five specific U.S. states: Texas, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Michigan, or Florida — with the primary hire requirement being Tennessee residency. This is a hard geographic restriction, not a timezone preference.

Additional technical requirements further limit flexibility:

  • A hardwired Ethernet connection is mandatory — no Wi-Fi, satellite, or mobile hotspots allowed.
  • VPN usage is explicitly prohibited, which rules out privacy tools commonly used by remote travelers.
  • A dedicated, fixed workspace near your router is required.

The role involves structured shifts ("a variety of shifts" is mentioned), meaning schedule flexibility is limited. This is a shift-based, location-locked remote job — you must live in the approved state, have a stable home office setup, and be available for assigned hours.

If you're a digital nomad seeking location-independent work, look instead for roles that specify "work from anywhere," async-first cultures, or global contractor agreements. Healthcare customer support roles at large BPOs like Teleperformance typically carry strict compliance and residency requirements that are incompatible with a nomadic lifestyle.
