People Ops Coordinator at Salesloft - Remote US — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This role is explicitly restricted to candidates located in the United States — all 50 states are eligible, but it does not extend to international locations. For digital nomads, this is a significant constraint: you must maintain a US-based address and legal work authorization throughout the engagement.
Remote setup: The job is fully remote within the US, which does offer geographic flexibility across time zones. However, given the role's responsibilities — weekly PBP syncs, real-time HR case management (HappyFox), I-9 verifications, and coverage for teammates — this is not an async-first role. Expect core overlap hours aligned to US Eastern or Central time, particularly given coordination with a global team spanning India and Mexico.
Salary context: The $70,000–$80,000 annual range translates to roughly $5,800–$6,700/month. For US-based nomads traveling domestically:
- Austin, TX: Comfortable lifestyle; coliving ~$1,200–$1,800/month
- Boise, ID: Lower cost; strong quality of life for remote workers
- Asheville, NC: Vibrant creative scene; rent ~$1,400–$2,000/month
Since the role requires US residency, international nomad destinations like Lisbon or Medellín are not viable here without risking compliance issues. If you hold a US passport and want location flexibility, focus on low-cost US states to maximize take-home. No travel stipends or coworking allowances are mentioned.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
At Salesloft, our People Operations Coordinator is foundational to a high-performing People team. Each coordinator embeds with their assigned business function(s) (e.g., Engineering, Marketing, Sales) to provide full employee lifecycle support, from offer through exit. As the first point of contact for employees and managers, coordinators deliver high-volume, high-accuracy service across HR transactions, data, leave, employee relations support, and employee questions, creating a consistently excellent employee experience.
They partner closely with People Business Partners, keeping the work moving, the data clean, and the PBP fully informed, and work alongside Total Rewards, Benefits and Mobility, and Talent Acquisition so programs run smoothly.
Each coordinator also serves as the expert for an assigned country, bringing local compliance knowledge, language, and time zone coverage to the team. Working within a shared services model, coordinators cover for one another across functions during peak periods and absences. This is a broad, high-visibility role and a clear path toward People Business Partner or People Operations leadership.
Time Allocation:
- 60–70% of your time supports your assigned business function(s) and their People Business Partner — lifecycle transactions, employee data, questions, ER support, and people programs.
- 30–40% supports the broader People team — assisting Total Rewards with compensation and benefits cycles, partnering with People Systems on HiBob, data and reporting, and supporting Talent Acquisition through offer-to-onboarding handoffs. You'll also serve as the expert for your assigned country and cover teammates during peak periods.
The balance shifts with the business calendar (e.g., more Total Rewards work during open enrollment and compensation cycles). This is reviewed regularly throughout the year.
This role begins as a three-month contract with the opportunity to convert to a full-time, permanent Salesloft position based on business needs and performance. The contract period gives you the chance to learn the team, the systems, and the business function you support — and gives us the chance to work together before making a long-term commitment. We will check in with you along the way so you know how things are going.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Lifecycle Administration. Manage the employee lifecycle for the assigned business function, from offer through exit. Prepare offer letters, coordinate background checks and I-9 and right-to-work verification, and run onboarding and offboarding, including exit surveys, so every transition is accurate and on time.
- Employee Data & Records. Maintain accurate employee data in HiBob and ADP for the assigned business function. Process hires, changes, promotions, transfers, terminations, and org updates, and audit records and personnel files to keep data clean and audit-ready.
- HR Case Management. Serve as the first point of contact for employee and manager questions through people@ and HappyFox. Resolve routine requests promptly and escalate complex or sensitive issues to People Business Partners and specialists.
- Mobility & Benefits Support. Serve as the first point of contact for benefits questions and partner closely with the Benefits and Mobility Specialist to keep PBPs informed on mobility cases.
- PBP, ER & Programs Support:
- PBP Partnership & Employee Relations Support. Partner with the assigned People Business Partner through weekly syncs, sharing context so they have full visibility without having to ask. Support ER cases under PBP direction by maintaining documentation and the ER tracker, coordinating investigation logistics, and preparing PIP and termination paperwork.
- Program Administration. Project-manage the promotion process for the assigned business function, tracking and documenting each promotion through processing. Support compensation cycle execution and submit roles for compensation analysis, following up with leaders and tracking turnaround.
- Survey, QBR & Talent Support. Manage the engagement survey in the system and compile data and pre-reads for leadership reviews. Support the QBR process and prepare data and insights for talent calibration conversations.
- Reporting, Analytics & Compliance Support. Fulfill data requests and run standard reports and headcount reconciliations, providing analysis that supports business reviews and People programs. Support audits, country-specific filings, I-9 compliance, record retention, and policy acknowledgments, and manage vendor invoices.
- Process Improvement. Establish and maintain SOPs so the team delivers consistent service across pods. Flag recurring case themes and test HRIS and workflow changes, turning patterns from the assigned business function into improvements for the whole team.
- Country Expertise. Serve as the expert for an assigned country, bringing knowledge of local employment practices and compliance requirements, along with language and time zone coverage. Review country-specific documents prepared by other coordinators, support local filings and vendor relationships, and keep the team current on changes in local requirements.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for a service-minded, detail-obsessed People professional who takes pride in getting the work right the first time. You understand that every offer letter, record update, and employee question is someone's experience of the company, and you treat each one that way. You are comfortable being the first point of contact for employees and managers, and you know when to resolve a request yourself and when to bring in a People Business Partner or specialist. You handle confidential information with discretion and communicate clearly in writing. You are equally at home working through a high volume of transactions and spotting the pattern behind them, and you bring ideas back that make the whole team better. You enjoy partnering with business leaders, adapt easily across time zones and cultures, and want to build toward a career as a People Business Partner or in People Operations leadership.
THE TEAM:
Our People Operations Coordinators, PBPs and specialists work as one team on a shared goal, and each role has clear ownership. Coordinators are the front door of the People organization: warm, responsive and exact, with the pride in getting it right that earns managers' and employees' trust. We are a global team across India, Mexico and the United States, we cover for one another, and we share what we learn so every pod gets better. We take on hard problems together, and we hold ourselves to a high bar for accountability, empathy and execution.
Values: Move as One, Evidence over Ego, Lead from the Front, Make Your Mark, Customer-Inspired
THE SKILL SET:
- 2–4 years in HR operations, shared services, or HR administration
- Hands-on HRIS experience and a case management tool (JIRA, HappyFox, ServiceNow, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail, discretion with confidential data, and clear written communication
- Comfort supporting business leaders and managers, and working across time zones and cultures
- Exposure to global employment practices and multi-country HR administration is preferred
- Experience supporting a high-growth or sales-led organization is preferred
- Experience with process documentation, reporting, or workflow automation is preferred
