Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is explicitly based in Sydney or Melbourne, Australia, with a requirement for multiple in-person meetings each week with partners and Ping colleagues. This is not a location-independent or digital nomad-compatible position — physical presence in Australia is a hard requirement, not a preference.

If you are currently a nomad or traveling remotely, this role would require you to settle in Australia long-term. Australian work visas (e.g., Employer-Sponsored Visa subclass 482 or a Skilled Independent Visa subclass 189/190) would apply for non-citizens. Those already holding Australian permanent residency or citizenship are in the best position.

There is limited travel flexibility built into the role:

  • Domestic travel within Australia and New Zealand is expected regularly.
  • 1–2 international trips per year to the US (likely Denver HQ) are required.

No salary data is published, making cost-of-living comparisons with nomad hubs like Lisbon, Bangkok, or Medellín irrelevant — you would be earning an Australian market salary and living in one of Australia's most expensive cities. Sydney and Melbourne consistently rank among the world's top 10 most expensive cities.

If you're looking for a truly remote or nomad-friendly channel sales role, look instead for positions labeled "remote-first," "async-friendly," or with no specified office location.
