Traveler-Friendly Insight

Timezone Constraint: EST is Non-Negotiable. This role explicitly requires working Eastern Standard Time (UTC-5/UTC-4) hours consistently — plus evening and weekend availability for urgent CEO needs. This is a significant constraint for nomads. You can realistically base yourself in EST-compatible zones: Eastern US/Canada, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, or the Caribbean without schedule friction.

Nomad Destinations That Work:

  • Medellín, Colombia (COT, UTC-5): Perfectly aligned with EST. At $2,500–$3,000/month, you live very comfortably — expect $700–$1,000/month for a nice apartment, great coworking scene, and a thriving nomad community.
  • Lima, Peru (PET, UTC-5): Also EST-aligned. Cost of living is moderate — $900–$1,200/month covers quality housing. Less nomad infrastructure than Medellín but very livable.
  • Mexico City (CST, UTC-6): One hour behind EST — manageable. HQ is in Mexico, which may ease any potential visa or compliance considerations. Budget ~$1,000–$1,500/month for comfortable living.

Important caveat: The on-call nature (evenings, weekends) makes this role less suitable for slow travel across many time zones. It's best suited for someone who establishes a semi-permanent base in a compatible timezone. No travel perks or coworking stipends are mentioned in the posting.
