Accountant at Serve Robotics - Los Angeles Tech Job — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This role is an in-person, office-based position at Serve Robotics in Los Angeles, CA. The job description makes no mention of remote work, hybrid arrangements, or location flexibility. For digital nomads or remote-first workers, this is not a suitable fit.
The nature of the role — overseeing physical accounting operations, coordinating with cross-functional teams on-site, supporting internal audits, and managing close cycles — strongly implies regular, fixed-schedule in-office presence, likely aligned to US Pacific Time business hours.
What to look for instead: If you're a nomad accountant, consider searching for:
- Remote accounting roles at fully distributed companies (e.g., fintech startups or accounting SaaS firms)
- Contract/fractional CFO or bookkeeping roles on platforms like Brex, Pilot, or Bench
- Companies explicitly listing "remote" or "async" accounting positions on job boards like We Work Remotely or Remote.co
No salary data is published for this role, so cost-of-living comparisons are not applicable. Los Angeles has a very high cost of living, so anyone relocating should budget accordingly — a mid-senior accountant in LA typically needs $90K–$120K+ to maintain a comfortable lifestyle.
At Serve Robotics, we're reimagining how things move in cities. Our personable sidewalk robot is our vision for the future. It's designed to take deliveries away from congested streets, make deliveries available to more people, and benefit local businesses.
The Serve fleet has been delighting merchants, customers, and pedestrians along the way in Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Atlanta and Chicago while doing commercial deliveries. We're looking for talented individuals who will grow robotic deliveries from surprising novelty to efficient ubiquity.
