Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is tagged #LI-Remote, meaning Precision for Medicine intends it to be performed remotely — a positive signal for location-flexible professionals. However, the position is restricted to Spain, and candidates must be legally authorized to work there without employer sponsorship. This means nomads on tourist or Schengen visitor visas would not qualify — you would need a valid Spanish work authorization.

Timezone considerations: The role involves active coordination with Spanish Competent Authorities, Ethics Committees, and local site teams. Real-time communication during Spanish business hours (CET/CEST, UTC+1/+2) is effectively mandatory, making this role sync-heavy rather than async-friendly. Working from a significantly different timezone (e.g., Southeast Asia or Latin America) would be very challenging.

Visa options for Spain:

  • Spain Digital Nomad Visa: Available since 2023 under the Startup Act — relevant for non-EU freelancers, but this role appears to be an employment contract requiring Spanish work authorization.
  • EU/EEA citizens can work in Spain freely with registration (NIE/empadronamiento).
  • Non-EU nationals should explore a Spanish work permit sponsored by the employer — but the posting explicitly states no employer sponsorship.

Since no salary is disclosed, cost-of-living comparisons are limited. Clinical regulatory specialists in Spain typically earn €35,000–€55,000/year, which offers comfortable living in most Spanish cities but would not stretch well in higher-cost nomad hubs. This is best suited to Spain-based professionals working from home, not traveling nomads.
