Traveler-Friendly Insight

This Project Manager II role at Brightech/Everest Clinical Research is based in Taipei, Taiwan with a stated Work from Home policy — meaning a partial or full remote arrangement may be possible, depending on company discretion. However, the role involves direct coordination with clinical trial Sponsors, internal cross-functional teams, and third-party vendors, which implies regular meetings and potentially fixed schedule requirements.

Timezone considerations: The role is anchored in the Asia/Taipei timezone (UTC+8). If you are a nomad operating from Southeast Asia (e.g., Bangkok UTC+7, Bali UTC+8), timezone alignment is near-perfect. Nomads in Europe (UTC+1/+2) would face a 6–7 hour offset, making synchronous sponsor calls and team meetings challenging.

Best nomad bases for this role:

  • Taipei itself — Gold Card visa available for skilled professionals; excellent infrastructure, affordable cost of living (~$1,500–2,200/month).
  • Bangkok, Thailand — LTR visa or tourist visa runs; low cost of living (~$1,200–1,800/month); UTC+7 overlap is manageable.
  • Chiang Mai, Thailand — Popular nomad hub, very affordable (~$800–1,200/month), same UTC+7 timezone advantage.

No travel-specific perks (coworking stipend, equipment budget) are mentioned. The role's client-facing nature and regulatory compliance requirements (FDA, ICH, EMA) suggest it is not fully async-friendly — expect real-time meetings and structured accountability.
