Moment CineFlare Streak Filter — turn city lights into cinematic flares on the road
The gist: Night markets, neon signs, and string-lit rooftop bars are exactly the point-light-source scenes this Blue Streak filter is built for, adding an anamorphic-style horizontal flare without carrying a specialty lens.
- Real anamorphic-style flare, no extra lens: a rotatable, machined-aluminum housing with premium Japanese optical glass creates a directional streak you'd otherwise need dedicated anamorphic glass to get.
- Adjustable angle: the precision rotation mechanism lets you dial the streak to horizontal, diagonal, or vertical, so you can match the light source in front of you instead of a fixed effect.
- 30-layer coating: anti-scratch, anti-reflection, and anti-oil coatings keep the glass clean and sharp through a day of travel handling.
- Stackable: the front ring accepts a second filter, like Moment's CineBloom, if you want to add dreamy glow on top of the streak.
Digital Camera World's hands-on review found the filter shines with point-light sources — stage and performance lighting especially — while noting it has "limited effectiveness in daylight conditions" and can be inconsistent with certain light sources.
Best for: travel shooters chasing night markets, neon streets, and golden-hour point-light scenes for cinematic b-roll. Skip it if: most of your shooting is flat daylight — this effect needs a bright, discrete light source to show up.
