Remote Content Coordinator - Part-Time, Melbourne Hours — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This is a part-time remote role (15–20 hrs/week) explicitly designed for offshore workers, making it well-suited for digital nomads — particularly those based in or around Southeast Asia. However, there is a meaningful timezone constraint: you must maintain reasonable overlap with Melbourne business hours (AEST/AEDT, UTC+10/+11). This rules out nomads in the Americas or Western Europe unless they're comfortable with early-morning or late-night shifts.
Best-fit locations for this role:
- Philippines (Manila, Cebu) — Only 2–3 hours behind Melbourne; ideal overlap. Low cost of living (~$800–1,200/month comfortable budget).
- Bali, Indonesia — 2 hours behind Melbourne; popular nomad hub with coworking spaces. Budget ~$1,000–1,500/month.
- Thailand (Chiang Mai, Bangkok) — 3 hours behind Melbourne; feasible with an early afternoon shift. Very affordable at ~$800–1,200/month.
At 15–20 hours/week, this role is likely to be supplementary income for most nomads rather than a primary income source. No travel perks, coworking allowances, or equipment stipends are mentioned. The schedule is set (Mon–Fri, ~4 hrs/day), so it's structured but not fully async — plan your travel around Melbourne's business day.
Position: Part-Time Education & Content Coordinator
