Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is remote-first but carries a hard timezone constraint: you must be based in PST or MST (UTC-8 to UTC-7). For digital nomads, this significantly limits where you can work from without schedule friction. Countries with overlapping business hours include Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Chile — but only during part of the year due to DST mismatches.

The role involves managing C-suite enterprise relationships (CIOs, CISOs, CTOs), which typically means synchronous video calls during US business hours. Expect 9am–5pm PST to be "live" hours most workdays. This is not an async-friendly role — executive QBRs and tight Sales/FDE collaboration demand real-time availability.

  • Lisbon, Portugal: PST is UTC-8; Lisbon is UTC+0/+1 — an 8–9 hour gap. Working US West Coast hours from Lisbon means evenings/nights. Not practical long-term.
  • Medellín, Colombia: UTC-5, only 3 hours ahead of PST — the most nomad-friendly overlap for this role. Cost of living is ~$1,500–2,500/month for a comfortable lifestyle, leaving substantial savings from a $190K+ OTE.
  • Bangkok, Thailand: UTC+7, an 11-15 hour gap from PST — essentially incompatible without a severe lifestyle inversion.

No travel perks (coworking stipend, equipment budget) are explicitly mentioned. US work authorization is required, meaning digital nomad visas in foreign countries would need to be self-managed. Best fit for nomads based in the Americas, particularly LATAM countries in UTC-5 to UTC-7 range.

  • Integrate with Technical Counterparts: Partner closely with Forward-Deployed Engineers (FDEs) and technical leads to ensure technical delivery aligns directly with the client's business outcomes, removing friction and accelerating time-to-value.
  • Operate as an Independent Bar-Raiser: Proactively build scalable Customer Success playbooks, elevate executive engagement standards, and operate with extreme ownership without needing step-by-step guidance.
  • Cultivate C-Suite & Technical Sponsorship: Build multi-threaded relationships across business and technology functions (CIO, CISO, CTO, VPs of Engineering, Product Leads) to ensure continuous alignment with top corporate initiatives.
  • Drive Business Outcomes & QBRs: Shift client conversations from product usage to business impact, leading executive business reviews (EBRs/QBRs) that demonstrate clear ROI and anchor the account for long-term growth.

  • Technical & FDE Alignment: Deep experience collaborating with Forward-Deployed Engineers, Solutions Architects, and product delivery teams to translate technical achievements into commercial value.
  • High Autonomy & Leadership: Self-motivated bar-raiser with a bias for action who excels in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and takes full accountability for account outcomes.
  • Executive Presence: Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with a track record of challenging and advising C-level executives on technology strategy and operational efficiency.

Nice-to-Haves / Pluses
