APAC Timezone Constraint — A Key Consideration for Nomads

This role explicitly requires you to be based in an APJ/APAC timezone (roughly UTC+5:30 to UTC+12). While Supabase is fully async-friendly in general, the nature of an Executive Assistant role means you'll need real-time responsiveness during the CEO's working hours. Expect some synchronous availability to be required — particularly for last-minute scheduling and urgent communications — even though the broader culture is async.

Nomad-Friendly APAC Bases Worth Considering:

  • Bali, Indonesia – Low cost of living (~$1,200–$1,800/mo), growing digital nomad infrastructure, UTC+8. Indonesia now offers a 5-year Digital Nomad Visa.
  • Chiang Mai, Thailand – A classic nomad hub (~$1,000–$1,500/mo), UTC+7. Thailand's LTR visa supports remote workers earning above certain thresholds.
  • Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – More urban, excellent coworking scene, ~$1,400–$2,000/mo, UTC+8. Malaysia's DE Rantau visa is purpose-built for digital nomads.

Travel-Relevant Perks: The WeWork/coworking allowance is directly useful for nomads — you won't be tethered to a home office. Annual company offsites also mean paid travel to a new city each year. The tech allowance helps you stay productive on the move. No fixed office means you keep full location flexibility within the APAC window.

About Supabase

About the Role

We're looking for an Executive Assistant to support our CEO as Supabase continues to scale globally. This person will be a trusted partner to the CEO, helping manage time, communication, priorities, travel, follow-through, and key operating rhythms across a fast-moving, remote-first company.

This role must be based in an APJ / APAC timezone to provide strong timezone coverage for our CEO and leadership team. You'll work closely with founders, executives, internal stakeholders, investors, and external partners, ensuring the CEO is prepared, focused, and able to spend time on the highest-impact work.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments, has strong judgment, and is excited about supporting a developer-focused company building tools that scale to millions.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Own the CEO's calendar management, prioritization, and day-to-day operating rhythm.
  • Manage inbox triage and communications by monitoring emails, drafting responses, and keeping communication flowing across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare briefings, agendas, decks, notes, and follow-up materials so the CEO is ready for every meeting.
  • Track follow-ups, decisions, and commitments to help projects move forward and keep stakeholders accountable.
  • Coordinate seamless domestic and international travel, logistics, scheduling changes, and last-minute adjustments.
  • Support investor meetings, board-related preparation, executive meetings, offsites, and company-wide moments.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with absolute discretion, professionalism, and integrity.
  • Anticipate needs, identify blockers early, and solve problems proactively before they escalate.
  • Partner across the company to create clarity, improve coordination, and help leadership operate effectively in a global, remote-first environment.

You Might Be a Good Fit If You

  • Have experience supporting a CEO, founder, or senior executive in a startup or scale-up environment.
  • Are based in an APJ / APAC timezone and can provide strong coverage for a globally distributed leadership team.
  • Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences, with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Have experience working in async, remote-first, or globally distributed teams.
  • Are tech savvy and comfortable using tools like Notion, Slack, Google Workspace, and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Bring strong judgment around prioritization, confidentiality, stakeholder management, and executive communication.
  • Are energized by organized chaos, fast-moving priorities, and solving problems before they become blockers.
  • Are comfortable navigating ambiguity, moving quickly, and staying several steps ahead.
