Remote EA to CEO at Supabase - APAC Timezone — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
Is this role nomad-friendly? Yes — Supabase is a fully remote, async-first company with no physical offices. This Executive Assistant role is explicitly remote-first and emphasizes async workflows, making it well-suited to location-independent professionals within the APAC/APJ timezone band (roughly UTC+5 to UTC+12). That's a wide geographic window covering South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Asia, and Oceania.
Timezone constraints matter here. Unlike many remote EA roles, this one has a hard timezone requirement: APAC/APJ hours. You'll need reliable overlap with leadership during business hours in this zone. Nomads in Bali, Bangkok, Tokyo, or Singapore are well-positioned. Those in Lisbon or Medellín would not meet the timezone requirement.
Key travel-friendly perks:
- WeWork/coworking allowance — use any WeWork globally, ideal for nomads who move between hubs
- Tech allowance — set up your workspace wherever you land
- Annual company offsite — fully paid travel to meet the global team
- Async culture — trusted to manage your own schedule
Visa considerations: Popular APAC nomad bases like Thailand (LTR visa), Bali/Indonesia (digital nomad visa), Malaysia (DE Rantau), or the Philippines all fall within the required timezone. Health insurance is fully covered globally, removing a major nomad pain point.

About the Role
We're looking for an Executive Assistant to support our CEO as Supabase continues to scale globally. This person will be a trusted partner to the CEO, helping manage time, communication, priorities, travel, follow-through, and key operating rhythms across a fast-moving, remote-first company.
This role must be based in an APJ / APAC timezone to provide strong timezone coverage for our CEO and leadership team. You'll work closely with founders, executives, internal stakeholders, investors, and external partners, ensuring the CEO is prepared, focused, and able to spend time on the highest-impact work.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments, has strong judgment, and is excited about supporting a developer-focused company building tools that scale to millions.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Own the CEO's calendar management, prioritization, and day-to-day operating rhythm.
- Manage inbox triage and communications by monitoring emails, drafting responses, and keeping communication flowing across internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare briefings, agendas, decks, notes, and follow-up materials so the CEO is ready for every meeting.
- Track follow-ups, decisions, and commitments to help projects move forward and keep stakeholders accountable.
- Coordinate seamless domestic and international travel, logistics, scheduling changes, and last-minute adjustments.
- Support investor meetings, board-related preparation, executive meetings, offsites, and company-wide moments.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with absolute discretion, professionalism, and integrity.
- Anticipate needs, identify blockers early, and solve problems proactively before they escalate.
- Partner across the company to create clarity, improve coordination, and help leadership operate effectively in a global, remote-first environment.
You Might Be a Good Fit If You
- Have experience supporting a CEO, founder, or senior executive in a startup or scale-up environment.
- Are based in an APJ / APAC timezone and can provide strong coverage for a globally distributed leadership team.
- Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences, with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Have experience working in async, remote-first, or globally distributed teams.
- Are tech savvy and comfortable using tools like Notion, Slack, Google Workspace, and AI-enabled workflows.
- Bring strong judgment around prioritization, confidentiality, stakeholder management, and executive communication.
- Are energized by organized chaos, fast-moving priorities, and solving problems before they become blockers.
- Are comfortable navigating ambiguity, moving quickly, and staying several steps ahead.
