Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role — a field-based District Sales Manager (DSM I) for dental/medical instrumentation — is not compatible with a location-independent or nomadic lifestyle. The position requires managing a defined geographic territory in the United States, regular in-person visits to dental offices, labs, schools, and government facilities, and significant time behind the wheel.

  • Remote work: The listing mentions the role "may" work remotely from a home office, but the core function is field sales requiring physical presence with customers in a fixed U.S. territory.
  • Schedule flexibility: Field sales roles typically require availability during standard business hours (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm local time) to visit clients. Async work is not a practical fit here.
  • Travel: Travel is expected within the territory — likely by car — not international or flexible travel. This is territory-bound driving, not location-free movement.
  • Visa considerations: Applicants must be based in the U.S. and able to cover a specific region. No digital nomad visa pathway applies.

If you're seeking a remote-friendly or nomad-compatible sales role, look instead for inside sales, SDR/BDR, or account executive roles at SaaS or tech companies that explicitly advertise "fully remote" or "work from anywhere" policies.
