Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is restricted to Australia's East Coast, which significantly limits classic digital nomad freedom. You must be based in the AEST/AEDT timezone (UTC+10/+11), and the nature of the work — high-volume inbound phone, live chat, and email interactions — strongly implies fixed business-hours coverage aligned with Australian customers. This is not an async-friendly role.

That said, the hybrid/remote arrangement does offer meaningful flexibility within Australia. If you're based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane, you can work from home most of the time and only visit the Sydney CBD office as needed. This suits a location-flexible lifestyle within the East Coast rather than international nomadism.

Visa considerations: You'll need existing Australian work rights — a Working Holiday Visa (subclass 417 or 462) could qualify, but note the 6-month employer limit may apply. Permanent residents and citizens are the most straightforward fit.

  • Cost of living note: Without a disclosed salary, direct comparisons are difficult. Entry-level sales/support roles in Sydney typically pay AUD $50,000–$65,000. Sydney is expensive (~$2,500+/month), but the education allowance (USD ~$5K/year) and fitness reimbursement add real value.
  • Travel-friendly perks: Flexible Time Off policy gives you room to take extended trips; the hybrid setup means you're not office-bound daily.

Bottom line: not suitable for globe-trotting nomads, but a solid semi-remote role for those wanting flexibility within eastern Australia.
