Remote Community Growth Specialist - Part-Time USA — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This role is a strong fit for digital nomads — it's fully remote, part-time at 30 hours per week, and the core work (writing Reddit posts, moderating a subreddit, researching Quora threads) is inherently async-friendly. There are no stated timezone restrictions, which is a significant plus for travelers operating across different time zones.
At $20–$28/hr for 30 hours/week, you'd earn roughly $2,400–$3,360/month (pre-tax). Here's how that stretches across popular nomad bases:
- Lisbon, Portugal: Comfortable living runs ~$1,800–$2,200/month. This salary covers costs with room to save.
- Bangkok, Thailand: A comfortable lifestyle costs ~$1,200–$1,600/month — this income provides significant surplus.
- Medellín, Colombia: Budget ~$1,000–$1,500/month for a comfortable lifestyle, leaving excellent savings potential.
However, note the 6-month contract duration — plan visa strategies accordingly. Most digital nomad visas (Portugal, Colombia, Thailand's LTR) require proof of income, and this contract may satisfy those thresholds. Tourist visas in many countries allow stays of 60–90 days, aligning well with a 6-month contract. No equipment stipend or coworking allowance is mentioned, so budget for your own workspace setup.
Job Type: Part-Time (30 hours per week)
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of extension
Compensation: $20–$28/hr, based on experience
