Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is listed as remote within Canada, but it comes with meaningful location constraints that digital nomads should carefully evaluate before applying.

Office Travel Required: Even for remote employees, periodic travel to PointClickCare's Mississauga, Ontario office and/or Salt Lake City office is mandatory — covering onboarding, team events, and semi-annual/annual meetings. This means you'll need to be able to reach these cities relatively easily, which limits true location flexibility for international nomads.

Timezone Considerations: With offices in Mississauga (ET) and Salt Lake City (MT), and a role managing high-stakes customer escalations in real time, you should expect core hours aligned to North American business hours (roughly 9am–6pm ET/MT). This role is not async-friendly — escalation management inherently requires immediate, synchronous response across multiple teams and customers.

Visa & Eligibility: Hiring appears restricted to Canada, so you'll need a valid Canadian work authorization. Canadian citizens and PR holders working from within Canada have the most flexibility. International nomads on tourist visas would not qualify for this role.

  • Nomad cities to consider (if based in Canada): Montréal and Toronto offer vibrant coworking scenes with reasonable rents relative to Vancouver.
  • No coworking stipend or nomad-specific travel perks are mentioned, though wellness and continuous development programs are included.

In short, this role suits a Canada-based remote worker comfortable with occasional in-person travel, not a fully location-independent nomad.

Travel to Office Expectations

  • Remote Roles: There will be in-office events that will require travel to and from the Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City office. These will include, but are not limited to, onboarding, team events, semi-annual and annual team meetings.
  • Hybrid Roles: There will be an expectation to reside within commutable distance to the office/location specified in the job listing. This will include, but is not limited to, weekly/bi-weekly/monthly events in the office with your specific team. This is a requirement for this role.
