Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is listed as a remote environment position at Staples Canada, which is a strong signal for location flexibility within Canada. However, as the role involves managing Canadian client accounts and collaborating with internal Canadian teams (ePrint Operations, Print Sales, and account management), it is almost certainly Canada-based remote only.

Timezone considerations: Client-facing quarterly reviews and regular team collaboration suggest standard Canadian business hours (ET/PT). Async-friendliness appears limited for this role given the account management and prospecting duties that require real-time client interaction.

Visa & eligibility: Since Staples Canada is the employer and no international hiring is indicated, candidates likely need to be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or hold a valid Canadian work permit. Digital nomad visas from other countries would not apply here.

Nomad lifestyle fit: While technically remote, the client-facing nature and required collaboration with Canadian internal teams make this a poor fit for international nomads. It could suit someone living remotely within Canada — cities like Halifax, Winnipeg, or Victoria offer lower costs of living compared to Toronto or Vancouver while still keeping you in Canadian time zones.

  • Halifax, NS: ~CAD 1,800–2,400/month for a comfortable lifestyle
  • Winnipeg, MB: ~CAD 1,600–2,200/month
  • Victoria, BC: ~CAD 2,200–3,000/month

No travel-specific perks (coworking stipend, meetup budget) are mentioned in the posting.
