Traveler-Friendly Insight

Remote-First with a Fixed Schedule
Cloudbeds operates on a fully remote model, making this role accessible from virtually anywhere — but the fixed shift of Monday–Friday, 06:00 AM–3:00 PM UTC is a key constraint for digital nomads. That translates to starting at 7 AM in Lisbon, 8 AM in Berlin, 2 PM in Bangkok, and 1 AM in Medellín. This heavily favors Europe, Africa, and the Middle East as base locations for a comfortable work schedule.

Best Nomad Destinations for This Timezone

  • Lisbon, Portugal: 7 AM–4 PM shift locally — ideal fit. Average monthly cost for a nomad: ~€1,800–€2,200. Portugal's D8 Digital Nomad Visa makes long-term stays straightforward.
  • Tbilisi, Georgia: 10 AM–7 PM shift locally — very comfortable. Cost of living: ~$1,000–$1,400/month. Georgian "Remotely from Georgia" program allows visa-free stays for many nationalities.
  • Cape Town, South Africa: 8 AM–5 PM — perfect alignment. Cost of living: ~$1,200–$1,800/month. South Africa offers a Remote Work Visa option.

Travel Perks to Note
The home office stipend and access to professional development resources are location-agnostic perks. Monthly Wellness Fridays effectively give you a long weekend every month — useful for short-haul travel. No coworking allowance is explicitly mentioned, so budget for that separately. The role requires phone availability, so a reliable SIM or VoIP setup is essential when traveling.
