Traveler-Friendly Insight

Remote-Friendly, But with Location Anchors

This role is officially remote/hybrid, but it comes with important caveats for nomads: you must be a legal resident of one of six specific European countries — Spain, France, Germany, Poland, Netherlands, or Belgium. Working from a beach in Bali or a café in Bangkok is not an option here. You'll need a stable legal address and likely tax residency in one of these countries.

Schedule & Timezone Constraints

This is a client-facing travel consulting role, which typically requires coverage during European business hours (CET/CEST). Async flexibility is unlikely — real-time response to travel booking requests is inherent to the job. If you're based in Warsaw, you're also required in-office 50% of the month; Kraków/Rzeszów requires at least one office day per week.

Salary vs. Cost of Living

  • Spain (€23k–€27k): Comfortable for smaller cities like Valencia or Seville; tight in Madrid or Barcelona.
  • Germany (€34k–€46k): Reasonable in eastern cities like Leipzig; stretched in Munich or Frankfurt.
  • Netherlands (€34k–€48k): Amsterdam is expensive; lower Dutch cities are more manageable.

Travel Perks

Working for a global TMC (Travel Management Company) like BCD Travel brings industry perks and discounts — a meaningful benefit for travel enthusiasts. However, this role won't give you true location independence across the globe.
