Traveler-Friendly Insight

Remote-First, But US-Only: This role is explicitly US-remote, meaning ChargePoint requires you to be based in the United States. While this limits true location-independence for international nomads, it does offer significant flexibility within the US — you can work from any state, making domestic slow travel (e.g., month-long stays in Austin, Denver, or Miami) entirely feasible.

Schedule & Async Potential: The job description emphasizes independent operation and content creation — tasks that are inherently async-friendly. However, cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product management, and sales teams, plus customer briefings and industry events, implies regular synchronous commitments. Expect a core US business hours schedule (likely PT/ET overlap), with limited flexibility for significant timezone deviation.

Salary vs. Nomad Cost of Living: At $147,825–$195,500/year, this role pays well above what's needed in popular domestic slow-travel cities:

  • Austin, TX: Comfortable living ~$4,500–$6,000/month — this salary covers it with substantial savings.
  • Medellín, Colombia or Lisbon, Portugal: Unfortunately not viable given the US-only work authorization requirement.

Travel Perks to Look For: No explicit coworking stipend or equipment budget is mentioned, but the comprehensive benefits package and equity (RSUs) provide financial runway to fund your own nomadic setup within the US. Ask about home office stipends during interviews.
