InfoWorks ICM Customer Success Role - Remote UK — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This role at Autodesk is officially remote-friendly with hybrid flexibility, which is a meaningful green flag for location-independent professionals. You are not required to be in an office, but you are expected to travel occasionally to meet customers and attend conferences — so a home base with good airport access is practical.
Timezone considerations: The role sits within the EMEA Water team and reports to an EMEA manager, meaning your core working hours will need to align with European business hours (roughly UTC to UTC+3). This limits pure nomad flexibility — you'd need to base yourself in a timezone compatible with the UK/Europe working day.
- Lisbon, Portugal: UTC+0/+1 — perfect alignment with UK/EMEA hours, low cost of living (~€1,500–2,000/month), and Portugal's Digital Nomad Visa (D8) is available for non-EU workers.
- Tallinn, Estonia: UTC+2 — still workable for EMEA hours; EU Digital Nomad Visa available, very tech-friendly infrastructure.
- Bangkok, Thailand: UTC+7 — a stretch for EMEA hours; afternoon shifts would be very late evening, making this a poor fit without significant schedule flexibility.
There is no equipment stipend or coworking allowance mentioned, but travel to conferences is part of the role. In-person onboarding may be required, so plan for at least one UK trip at the start. If you hold EU citizenship or a UK work visa, your options for European nomad bases are broadest.

Position Overview
We are seeking an expert in InfoWorks ICM (ICM) to assist our customers in adopting and optimizing their software. This is not a traditional software support role — instead you will engage new and existing customers to ensure they are using ICM as efficiently and effectively as possible, from both an IT and engineering perspective. You will use your in-depth experience to enable, support and guide our customers throughout their water projects.
This is a proactive role where you will develop a strategy to understand which customers we should speak to and what we should speak to them about. The role focuses on building relationships within Autodesk — with our Sales, Development and Engineering teams — but principally with our customers, taking ownership of their ideas, concerns and requests to build trust in our software. The intention is to have high-value conversations, then collate and analyse those conversations into a coherent strategy for customer success.
We value hybrid working, and if you live near enough to one of our offices you are welcome to work there some or all of the time, but remote working is also supported. You will report to the Manager for Customer Success, EMEA Water.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain working relationships with customers as a trusted technical advisor.
- Collate and analyse customer conversations to identify actions needed to improve the customer experience and promote the use of ICM.
- Add value to the use of ICM — scripting and the use of AI will be key components of this.
- Promote yourself as a subject expert through social media, webinars, conferences, and customer events.
- Develop and deliver expert coaching to drive customer adoption, which could include:
- Model building and import from other model types.
- Calibration or verification against observed data.
- Model application.
- IT strategy, whether using the Autodesk Cloud, a customer's own cloud, or an in-house system.
- Identify and improve self-serve material to drive better adoption of our tools.
- Demonstrate thought leadership and product expertise internally to help drive the product portfolio; work collaboratively with customer success, sales, product, and strategy teams.
- Provide technical assistance and recommendations for customers based on data analytics.
- Travel as required to meet customers at their offices or at conferences.
- Develop knowledge across the Autodesk Water portfolio, particularly in the area of asset management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of InfoWorks ICM in a commercial environment with recent industry experience.
- Demonstrable experience of scripting within ICM.
- Degree in a Technical, Engineering, or Science subject, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with cloud environments.
- Expertise in other water modelling products.
- Consulting experience and/or technical project delivery experience with large, demanding customers.
