Talent Acquisition Analyst - Remote LATAM (USD Pay) — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
Schedule Constraints: This role requires you to work 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST/UTC-5), Monday through Friday. That translates to fixed daytime hours — not async-friendly. For nomads in Europe or Southeast Asia, this means late evenings or early mornings, making it impractical for those destinations.
Best-fit time zones for this role:
- LATAM (Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil) — EST overlaps directly or within 1-2 hours, making these ideal bases. Medellín (UTC-5), Mexico City (UTC-6 in winter), and Buenos Aires (UTC-3) are all workable.
- Caribbean and East Coast North America also align well.
Cost of Living vs. USD Pay: While no salary figure is listed, USD compensation paid to contractors in LATAM stretches significantly. In Medellín or Bogotá, a mid-range lifestyle costs $1,200–$1,800/month. Buenos Aires is similarly affordable. Even at a modest contractor rate, purchasing power is strong.
Visa Considerations: As an independent contractor, you are free to work from any of the listed LATAM countries. Colombia's digital nomad visa (Nómada Digital), Mexico's temporary resident visa, and Argentina's freelancer-friendly tax regime are all viable options for longer stays.
Nomad Perks: No coworking or travel stipend is mentioned. You'll need a stable internet connection — confirm backup options (mobile hotspot, coworking space) before choosing a base.
