Traveler-Friendly Insight

Remote-Friendly, But With Real-Time Constraints: This role is listed as fully remote — a plus for location-independent workers. However, it is not fully async. The position requires availability for evenings and weekends (U.S. time), as it serves K-12 families in the U.S. market who are most reachable outside school/work hours. You'll need to align your working hours to U.S. time zones (likely EST/PST overlap), which limits flexibility for nomads based in Asia or Europe.

Visa & Location Considerations: The role targets the U.S. market and all references suggest U.S.-based employment. Non-U.S. residents would face complications related to payroll and benefits (401k, health insurance). Nomads already authorized to work in the U.S. could use tourist or digital nomad visa arrangements in countries like Portugal, Mexico, or Colombia, but the evening/weekend availability requirement significantly narrows the viable timezone window.

Salary vs. Cost of Living: At $25/hr for 30-40 hours/week, gross pay ranges roughly $39,000–$52,000 annually — before commission bonuses. This is:

  • Medellín, Colombia: Comfortable lifestyle; ~$1,500/mo covers quality housing and expenses.
  • Lisbon, Portugal: Modest living possible, though rising costs (~$2,200/mo) mean less surplus.
  • Bangkok, Thailand: Very comfortable; ~$1,200/mo for a solid nomad setup.

Evenings-required scheduling from the Americas or Southeast Asia is most practical. No mention of a coworking or equipment stipend.
