Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is remote within the US only — and explicitly excludes the Bay Area. That means while you can work from home anywhere else in the country, this is not a location-independent or digital nomad-friendly position. You must be a US resident, which rules out working from abroad on a tourist or digital nomad visa in another country.

From a schedule perspective, inside sales roles like this typically require availability during US business hours (likely ET or PT depending on your territory), as the job involves making outbound calls to restaurant owners. This is not async-friendly — you'll need to be reachable and dialing during peak restaurant operating hours and business windows.

Practical nomad considerations:

  • You can relocate within the US (outside the Bay Area) freely — cities like Austin, TX or Nashville, TN offer lower cost of living vs. coastal hubs.
  • The work-from-home reimbursement and monthly wellness subsidy help offset home-office or coworking costs.
  • At $65,000 base + commission, this salary is comfortable in lower cost-of-living US cities but does not translate well for international living, as the role legally requires US residency.
  • If you're drawn to remote work but want international flexibility, look for roles labeled "globally remote" or "hire anywhere" instead.

Bottom line: great for US-based remote workers who want flexibility within the country, but not suitable for international nomads or frequent travelers.

Please note that while this role will operate remotely, it is required that the candidate resides in the United States (EXCLUDING THE BAY AREA).
