Remote SEO Strategist at Brafton - Canada — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This role is fully remote and open to all of Canada, making it a strong fit for digital nomads who hold Canadian residency or citizenship and want to work from anywhere within the country — or potentially abroad, depending on Brafton's policy on international remote work.
Schedule flexibility: The posting highlights a "flexible remote schedule," which is a positive signal for async-friendly work. However, as a client-facing role with internal stakeholder collaboration, expect some fixed meeting windows aligned to North American business hours (ET/PT). Pure nomadic travel across radically different time zones (e.g., Southeast Asia) may create friction during client calls.
- Canada-based nomads: Cities like Montreal, Vancouver, and Toronto offer excellent coworking infrastructure if you prefer hybrid setups.
- Visa considerations: Canadian citizens can leverage digital nomad visas in countries like Portugal (D8 visa), Costa Rica, or Colombia — all at significantly lower costs of living than major Canadian cities.
- Cost of living comparison: A mid-range Canadian SEO strategist salary (~CAD 65–85K estimated) goes very far in Medellín (~$1,200–1,800/mo living costs) or Lisbon (~€1,500–2,000/mo), making this role highly lucrative for geo-arbitrage.
No explicit coworking stipend or travel perks are mentioned, but the flexible remote structure gives you the foundation to build a nomadic lifestyle — especially if client calls can be batched into defined hours.
This is a full-time remote position open to candidates across Canada.
