Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is tagged #LI-REMOTE, meaning StackAdapt intends for it to be performed remotely — a meaningful green flag for location-flexible professionals. However, this is not a timezone-agnostic position. You will manage senior relationships across Australia/New Zealand (AEST/NZST) and Japan (JST), meaning you must be meaningfully available during business hours in both regions. For a nomad, that anchors you to UTC+8 through UTC+13 — broadly Southeast and East Asia, the Pacific, or eastern Australia itself.

Popular nomad bases that fit this timezone window include Bali (WITA, UTC+8), Chiang Mai (ICT, UTC+7 — tight but workable), Tokyo or Osaka (ideal for the Japan side), and Da Nang, Vietnam. Western European or Americas-based nomads would face serious scheduling conflicts with morning partner calls in Tokyo or Sydney.

Visa considerations: Australia, New Zealand, and Japan do not yet offer widely accessible digital nomad visas. If you're not a citizen of one of these countries, consider Japan's "Specified Skilled Worker" route or a short-stay tourist visa for initial meetings. Indonesia's digital nomad visa (E33G) works well for a Bali base.

  • Bali: $187K–$258K AUD (~$120K–$165K USD) goes very far — comfortable living under $2,500/month.
  • Tokyo: Higher costs (~$3,500–$5,000/month), but ideal for the Japanese partner relationship side.
  • Bangkok: Mid-range (~$2,000–$3,000/month), UTC+7 is manageable for ANZ morning calls.

Perks like WeWork membership and work-from-home reimbursements support a location-flexible setup practically.
