Senior Frontend Engineer at Roofr - Remote US/CA/MX — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
Remote-First and Async-Friendly: Roofr explicitly operates a remote-first culture, making this role well-suited for digital nomads. The posting does not specify hard timezone requirements, which is a positive signal — though cross-functional collaboration and agile ceremonies (standups, sprint reviews) typically favor alignment with North American time zones (ET/CT/PT). If you're based in Mexico or LATAM, you're in an ideal overlap window.
Visa & Location Considerations: The role is open to US, Canada, and (based on the location hint) Mexico. Mexico's Residente Temporal visa allows remote workers to live and work legally for up to 4 years. Other popular nomad destinations may require tourist visas, and you'd want to confirm payroll eligibility with Roofr's HR before relocating to countries outside their hiring scope.
Nomad-Friendly Perks:
- Home office stipend — helps cover your remote workspace wherever you are
- Internet & phone allowance — a direct win for nomads managing connectivity costs
- Flexible time off plus monthly "laundry day" Fridays — great for travel planning
No salary range is published, but Senior Frontend Engineers in the US typically earn $130k–$170k annually. In Lisbon or Medellín, that stretches significantly further given lower costs of living (~$2,000–$2,800/month all-in), making this a financially attractive role for location-independent professionals.
At Roofr, we're obsessed with our customers. We constantly gather feedback to shape, prioritize, and launch the products they truly need. That's what makes Roofr's CRM special. We started by building essential sales tools like aerial roof measurements and digital sales proposals. But when our customers asked for a simple, affordable way to manage and scale their entire businesses, we listened. So, we created a CRM that connects these solutions—along with payments, material ordering, and more—into a seamless, powerful platform. With a clear roadmap ahead, we're excited to continue expanding and leading the market with innovative products.
We have an amazing culture, strong financials, and best-in-class company metrics. It's an exciting time to be part of an extraordinary startup that is already successful, yet still early enough to offer its team significant growth, equity, and the opportunity to make a real impact.
