Traveler-Friendly Insight

US-Only Remote — Not Suitable for International Nomads

Branch explicitly states that this role is remote within the United States only, and candidates must be currently authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship or transfer. This means the position is not viable for international digital nomads or those on tourist/nomad visas in other countries — you must be US-based and work-authorized.

That said, for US-based remote workers and domestic nomads, the role has some appealing traits:

  • Remote-first culture: Branch is a remote-first company with employees distributed across the US, signaling genuine async-friendly infrastructure rather than forced remote.
  • Home-office stipend: A monthly stipend helps cover coworking costs or home-office upgrades — useful if you're moving between US cities.
  • Flexible time off: Unlimited/flexible PTO lets you plan extended domestic travel without rigid accrual constraints.
  • Timezone flexibility: No specific timezone is mentioned, which suggests some scheduling flexibility within US hours (likely Eastern/Central overlap for meetings).

At $175–185k annually, this salary goes very far in lower-cost US cities like Austin, TX, Nashville, TN, or Raleigh, NC — ideal for domestic slow-travelers who want to experience different US metros while maintaining a senior tech salary. For international nomads, look for roles explicitly listing EMEA, LATAM, or worldwide remote eligibility instead.
