Traveler-Friendly Insight

Remote-Friendly Since 2012: Fleetio explicitly tags this role #LI-Remote and highlights that they've been remote-friendly since 2012 — a strong signal of a mature, async-capable culture rather than a reluctant pandemic pivot.

Schedule & Timezone Flexibility: The job description emphasizes self-motivation, independent project management, and async collaboration across Marketing, Sales, and Product. While no explicit timezone restriction is stated, most US-based SaaS companies expect at least partial overlap with US Eastern/Central hours for cross-functional meetings. Nomads in Lisbon (WET/WEST) or Medellín (COT, UTC-5) would have workable but imperfect overlap; Southeast Asia timezones (Bangkok, UTC+7) would make real-time collaboration challenging.

Visa Considerations: The role is US-only (no global hiring signals detected). US citizens abroad can work legally for a US employer while traveling on tourist visas or digital nomad visas in many countries. Consider Portugal's D8 Digital Nomad Visa or Colombia's Digital Nomad Visa for extended stays.

Travel-Relevant Perks:

  • $125/quarter business expense stipend — modest but useful for coworking day passes
  • Mac laptop + new hire equipment stipend — you're set up to work from anywhere
  • $150/quarter wellbeing fund — can offset gym or wellness costs while traveling

No explicit coworking or travel allowance, but the combination of a mature remote culture and equipment support makes this viable for location-flexible US-based professionals.
