Traveler-Friendly Insight

Digital-First = Nomad Friendly: Paddle explicitly describes itself as a "digital-first" company, allowing employees to work remotely, from a hub, or a hybrid of both. This is a genuine green flag for location-independent workers — you're not expected to be in an office every day.

Timezone Considerations: The role is focused on Marketing and GTM collaboration, which typically requires overlapping hours with stakeholders. With hubs implied in Ireland, Portugal, and the UK, CET/GMT timezone alignment is likely expected. Nomads based in Western Europe or nearby regions (e.g., Lisbon, Canary Islands, Tbilisi) would find synchronous collaboration straightforward.

Visa Options for Popular Nomad Bases:

  • Portugal — Already listed as an allowed location; Portugal's Digital Nomad Visa (D8) is well-suited for remote workers employed by foreign companies.
  • Ireland — EU employment rights apply; no special nomad visa needed for EU citizens.
  • UK — Skilled Worker Visa may apply depending on your nationality and contract type.

Perks for Travelers: Unlimited holidays provide genuine flexibility to plan longer trips between project cycles. An annual learning fund could cover tools or conferences relevant to your nomadic workflow. No explicit coworking or equipment stipend is mentioned, so budget for those independently.

While no salary is disclosed, senior analytics engineers in Europe typically earn €70k–€110k+ annually — enough to live comfortably in Lisbon (~€2,000/mo) or Medellín (~€1,200/mo) while saving significantly.

What do we do?

Paddle offers digital product companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we're a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It's faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better.

We're backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 6000 software sellers in 245 territories globally.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to drive significant business impact by shaping our data infrastructure, developing robust data models, and promoting best practices in analytics engineering (e.g., data quality, documentation, and scalable data architectures). You will collaborate closely with the Marketing team to ensure that funnels are being tracked and surfaced in our data models and that Marketing campaigns can be evaluated using accurate data.

What you'll do:

  • Create trusted, self-serve datasets and reporting layers in Omni that power Marketing performance reviews, campaign reporting, attribution analysis, funnel health monitoring, and investment decision-making.
  • Proactively identify and resolve data quality issues across Marketing and GTM systems, including source tracking, campaign metadata, funnel stage completeness, attribution coverage, and spend data.
  • Add comprehensive metadata to datasets, including documentation, lineage, ownership, definitions, data quality checks, and sensitive data masking.
  • Partner with Marketing stakeholders to translate business questions into robust data products, dashboards, analyses, and decision-ready insights.
  • Enable Marketing teams to confidently use Omni and core GTM datasets through documentation, training, office hours, and self-serve resources.
  • Activate data from Snowflake into operational tools where needed, supporting audience segmentation, lifecycle programmes, campaign optimisation, or GTM workflows.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Extensive experience in analytics engineering or related data roles, with demonstrated expertise in advanced SQL, dbt, and Snowflake.
  • Proficiency in using BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, Snowsight) to deliver clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders.
  • Skill in performing data ingestion and activation using no-code tools (e.g. Fivetran, Stitch), ensuring efficient data integration into operational systems.
  • Knowledge of managing metadata, documentation, data quality checks, and sensitive data masking effectively.
  • Effectiveness at collaborating closely with diverse stakeholders, understanding their data needs, and delivering impactful solutions.
  • Experience conducting training sessions and providing informal mentorship to junior analytics team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Familiarity with Marketing and GTM data concepts such as campaign tracking, attribution, funnel stages, lead/account lifecycle, pipeline generation, paid media, web analytics, CRM data, and marketing automation data.
  • Experience with common GTM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Google Analytics, ad platforms, enrichment tools, or similar. The exact stack is less important than the ability to understand how GTM data is created, transformed, and used.
  • Comfort working across Marketing, RevOps, Sales, Finance, and Data to align definitions, reporting logic, and ownership.
