Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is listed as Remote - US, which means it is restricted to US-based workers. Despite the "Anywhere in the World" hint, the job posting explicitly states US employment and a US hourly pay range — international applicants or full-time nomads based abroad are unlikely to qualify.

Timezone & Schedule: The posting does not mention specific hours, but collections and repossession coordination work typically involves business-hours availability (US time zones) for real-time vendor and partner coordination. Expect this to be a synchronous, structured-hours role rather than async-friendly. Digital nomads traveling within the US (or keeping US hours from a similar timezone like Mexico City or Bogotá) may be able to make it work logistically, but nomads in Europe or Asia would face significant overnight hour conflicts.

Compensation context: At $24.51–$36.77/hr (roughly $51k–$76k annually), your purchasing power varies widely by location:

  • Medellín, Colombia: $1,500–$2,000/month covers a very comfortable lifestyle — strong value for a nomad keeping US hours in a similar timezone.
  • Lisbon, Portugal: Mid-range; $2,500–$3,500/month covers expenses, though housing costs have risen. Timezone overlap with US East Coast is challenging for real-time work.
  • Bangkok, Thailand: Excellent purchasing power, but the 11–12 hour time difference makes US business-hours work impractical.

No travel perks, coworking stipends, or equipment allowances are mentioned. Given the US-only restriction and synchronous nature, this role suits US-based remote workers more than globe-trotting nomads.
