Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is listed as fully remote within Australia, which is an important caveat for digital nomads. While Huntress is a globally distributed company, the SDR position explicitly targets the Australian market — meaning you'll need to operate during Australian business hours (AEST/AEDT) to conduct the 50+ daily calls to Australian MSP prospects. This effectively rules out working from significantly different time zones like Europe or the Americas without a severely disrupted schedule.

That said, if you're based in or traveling within the Asia-Pacific region (Bali, Chiang Mai, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur), time zone overlap with Australia is manageable. For example, Bali (WITA) is only 1–2 hours behind AEST, making it a realistic base. Bangkok and Singapore sit in similar windows.

  • Bali, Indonesia: Cost of living ~$1,200–1,800/month; AEST -2h overlap works well for business hours
  • Chiang Mai, Thailand: ~$900–1,400/month; AEST -3h, still workable for morning calls
  • Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: ~$1,000–1,500/month; AEST -3h overlap

Perks relevant to nomads include a $800 AUD home office setup reimbursement, a $185 AUD/month digital allowance (covers SIM cards and coworking internet), and a $40 AUD/month tech stipend. The annual US Summit trip is a valuable team travel perk. Note: this is an evergreen/pipeline role, so no immediate opening is guaranteed.

What We Do:

Huntress is a fully remote, global team of passionate experts and ethical badasses on a mission to break down the barriers to cybersecurity. Whether creating purpose-built security solutions, hunting down hackers, or impacting our community, our people go above and beyond to change the security game and make a real difference.

Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress protects all businesses—not just the 1%—with enterprise-grade, fully owned, and managed cybersecurity products at the price of an affordable SaaS application. The Huntress difference is our One Team advantage: our technology is designed with our industry-defining Security Operations Center (SOC) in mind and is never separated from our service.

We protect 4M+ endpoints and 7M+ identities worldwide, elevating under-resourced IT teams with protection that works as hard as they do. As long as hackers keep hacking, Huntress keeps hunting.

What You'll Do:

As a Sales Development Representative at Huntress, you'll be part of a small but elite team focused on building and expanding our presence within the Australian market. Huntress approaches sales as an opportunity to educate our partners through the value we bring. We rely on our SDRs to generate and qualify leads, make outbound calls, and follow up.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage MSPs through phone, email, and other channels to understand their challenges and identify opportunities to solve them
  • Operate beyond your role with autonomy to help the team improve our process, training, use of technology, and other aspects of our business
  • Work with sales management to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to create opportunities for new business

  • Enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced, collaborative, and competitive environment
  • Comfortable making a high volume of calls (50+ calls/day)
  • Strong communicator with good active listening skills
  • Passionate about helping others: solving problems through product offerings for clients, assisting teammates when needed
  • Team player; always willing to share knowledge as necessary
  • Coachable and eager for continuous improvement
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, asking for help early and as needed

What We Offer:

  • Fully remote work
  • At least one annual trip to the US for Summer Summit, with additional local events in Australia
  • New starter home office set up reimbursement ($800 AUD)
  • 12 weeks paid parental leave for both primary and secondary carers
  • Monthly digital allowance for personal phone and internet costs ($185 AUD)
  • Monthly home office tech stipend to upgrade or replace equipment ($40 AUD)
  • Subsidised private health insurance through our preferred provider
