Remote NP Role at Galileo - Evenings & Weekends — Columbus

This role is fully remote and conducted entirely via text-based chat and video — no physical clinic required. However, it is not ideal for location-independent nomads without significant caveats.
- Timezone constraint: Evening shifts begin at 6pm ET, and weekend coverage is mandatory. This anchors you firmly to Eastern Time or close to it — working from Europe or Asia would mean shifts starting at midnight or later, which is logistically difficult long-term.
- Licensure restriction: You must hold an active Texas NP license. U.S. healthcare licensure is state-bound and requires a U.S. address for maintenance in most states — this effectively limits true nomadic freedom.
- Minimum hours: A minimum of 14 hours/week across set 4-hour shift blocks (including two weekend shifts) limits spontaneous travel scheduling.
At $80–$90/hour and a minimum 14 hrs/week, you'd earn roughly $4,480–$5,760/month minimum. That covers comfortable living in Lisbon (~$2,000–2,500/mo), Medellín (~$1,200–1,800/mo), or Bangkok (~$1,500–2,000/mo) — but the ET shift anchor makes these destinations only viable if you're comfortable working late evenings locally.

About The Role
Galileo is looking for culturally sensitive clinicians to join our digital-first, primary care medical group. In this role, you will use asynchronous text-based chat and synchronous video to provide high-quality, comprehensive and evidence-based primary care. As a part of our collaborative clinical care team, you will leverage data, technology, and operational rigor to optimize great patient outcomes while offering highly personalized care and shared decision making with patients.
Here's What You'll Do:
- Provide best-in-class care for Galileo patients managing complex and chronic illnesses through our innovative, proprietary app and technology and your excellent clinical judgment.
- Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients from age 0–100 across all needs, including complex, chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and mental health.

- Solve patient problems in an efficient, nimble manner by drawing on resourcefulness, collaborating with team members to leverage their expertise, and a "can-do" approach.
How We Work
Galileo is a 24/7 medical group utilizing asynchronous text-based chat and synchronous video to provide high-quality, comprehensive primary care. We work in 4-hour shifts (mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnight on weekdays and weekends) and require a minimum of 14 hours a week (alternating 12 and 16 hour weeks). At 24+ hours you will be considered full-time and benefits eligible. Providers are required to work at least two 4-hour shifts each weekend, in addition to their weekday hours.
We are currently looking for NPs with active licensure in Texas. We have several roles available for evening and weekend coverage. Evening shifts begin at 6pm ET.
Compensation
$80/hour (regular rate) and $90/hour (premium rate)

We would love to hear from you if you have the following or equivalent experience:
- 5+ years of advanced clinical experience in complex care, chronic care management, or primary care.
- Experienced in or have an appetite for learning digital-first healthcare (e.g., virtual medicine).
- Interested in new, innovative models of care that balance evidence-based approaches with creative ideas.
- Highly comfortable with using technology and various applications to deliver care to patients virtually. Our current tech stack includes:
- Proprietary built clinician-patient platform
- Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, etc.)
- Slack
- Certified as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Active state licensure in TX, with the ability to obtain additional state licensures.
