Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is listed as remote within the USA, which is an important constraint for digital nomads. While the position carries a #LI-Remote tag and mentions a "hybrid work schedule" among its benefits, the hiring is explicitly limited to US-based workers — meaning international remote work or geo-arbitrage from abroad is not supported.

Timezone and schedule considerations: Precast engineering involves coordination with project managers, designers, and likely US-based client teams, suggesting standard US business hours (Eastern to Pacific). The role is likely synchronous-heavy, not fully async, due to collaborative design reviews, QA/QC processes, and mentorship responsibilities.

Geo-arbitrage within the US: At $83,000–$105,000/year, there is meaningful cost-of-living arbitrage possible within the US. Consider locations like:

  • Tulsa, OK or Boise, ID — lower cost of living, strong remote worker communities, and US-compliant for the role.
  • Asheville, NC — a popular remote worker hub with moderate living costs compared to coastal cities.

Travel-relevant perks: No coworking stipend or travel budget is explicitly mentioned. The hybrid schedule implies some expectation of being near a Fisher Associates office (nine US locations), so full nomadic travel may conflict with occasional in-person obligations. This role is best suited to US-based remote workers seeking flexibility within the country, rather than international nomads.
