Job Description
Purpose
Sovereign Cloud is T-Systems' cloud offering for clients with high sovereignty needs. Clients in regulated sectors such as healthcare and the public sector are put in complete charge of their data – on an open-source platform, hosted in Europe. Our focus is to build a new product x00E28x009D Sovereign Cloudx00E28x009D within T-Systems' international cloud portfolio. DevOps Engineer participates in the design and implementation of a Kubernetes based Platform as a Service offering to Sovereign Cloud. As Senior DevOps Engineer for Sovereign Cloud you will co-create next-generation cloud solutions with a focus on EU healthcare, security, and public sector needs. You will design and implement a set of sovereignty controls and measures, including encryption and identity management and control functions over relevant parts of the Sovereign Cloud. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines and platform as Code approaches, and provide prototypes and concepts for further automation of assigned technology.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Design, develop, test and implement infrastructure for CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
- Manage source code, configuration management, release management, build and deployment activities.
- Set up and manage integration with partner applications.
- Conduct performance analyses and tuning as well as error analyses and troubleshooting.
- Consult and implement new innovative technologies to satisfy innovation strategy.
- Create concepts for further automation of services, processes and/or operating models.
- Directly support project teams in development, quality assurance, and planning and implementation of product releases.
- Continuously optimize the development and system infrastructure.
- Provide consulting to project teams on areas of expertise and prototype/proof of concept solutions.
- Research and develop in assigned technology, determine business requirements, propose changes and prepare implementation plans.
YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:
- Have secondary education in Information Technologies x00E28x0093 Master.
- Have 4 years of experience with ICT Systems.
- Have expert experience with scripting (Bash, Python).
- Have expert experience with the Linux Operating System.
- Have intermediate experience with OTC / AWS / Azure.
- Have expert experience with Docker.
- Have advanced experience with Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD or CKS certified).
- Have expert experience with Git.
- Have advanced experience with Jenkins / GitLab.
- Have intermediate experience with Maven / Gradle.
- Have advanced experience with Ansible / Terraform / Puppet.
- Have advanced experience with ELK / Prometheus / Icinga / Jaeger / Grafana.
- Have expert experience with Networking.
- Have advanced experience with Security.
- Are communicative, a team player and possess analytical thinking, training skills and presentation skills.
- Speak English at an upper intermediate level (B2).
- Have experience with Agile Methodology, Scrum and SAFe.

Salary
Final salary is negotiable.
We are offering a base salary depending on the candidate's seniority level and previous experience. In addition to the base salary, we provide a variable part and other financial benefits. The base salary will not be lower than 2600 020E/ brutto.
