Guidehouse is seeking a highly skilled Analytics Platform DevOps Engineer to be part of its central Products, Platforms, and Tools group in the office of the CTO. This role requires someone comfortable writing code who can both implement and help set standards and best practices to automate creation of cloud resources—including Databricks and Unity Catalog—in a complex environment. This engineering professional will be focused on Analytics Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and Security/Risk techniques necessary to build successful (minimal risk) solutions for large commercial enterprises and public sector customers. The engineer will leverage expertise in deploying and managing Databricks environments, alongside other cloud-driven architectures, to improve consistency, safety, and operational excellence. Partnering with IT Architecture and IT Security teams, this leader will build highly secure and repeatable solutions and frameworks used in proposals and delivery, while partnering with business segments to build novel solutions and harvest successful designs into a common catalog.

What You Will Do:

As an Full Stack Analytics DevOps Engineer, you will:

  • Architect, automate, and operate enterprise analytics platforms leveraging Terraform, GitHub, Kubernetes, and GitOps to deliver secure, repeatable, and scalable cloud environments.

  • Design and build next‑generation analytics infrastructure, modernizing legacy deployments and implementing hardened CI/CD workflows aligned with Zero Trust and cloud governance best practices.

  • Develop reusable modules, templates, and reference architectures to accelerate product teams and improve platform standardization.

  • Integrate and operationalize third‑party libraries, APIs, and partner technologies into end‑to‑end cloud solutions.

  • Contribute to engineering excellence through code commits, PR reviews, automation improvements, and platform observability enhancements.

  • Improve containerized workloads on both Azure and AWS and enhance efficiency across analytic platforms such as Databricks, Posit Workbench, and Posit Connect.

  • Collaborate across IT and security organizations to ensure compliance, resiliency, and policy alignment.

  • Leverage tools such as GitHub, Jira, and ServiceNow as part of a mature DevSecOps operating model.

What You Will Need:

  • 6+ years of relevant industry experience.

  • 4+ years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering role.

  • Strong knowledge of Terraform and other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.

  • Strong understanding of security principles and 12 Factor App design.

  • Experience working in public cloud environments (specifically Azure or AWS).

  • Ability to research, plan, organize, lead, and implement new processes or technologies.

  • Experience in Agile CI/CD cloud deployment techniques.

  • Experience applying policy-driven frameworks to cloud deployments, including micro-services (Kubernetes) alongside Terraform or similar IaC tools.

  • Knowledge of modern development languages with 3-4 years of experience in at least one (Python, Golang, JavaScript).

  • Experience deploying or maintaining big data or analytics platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, RedShift, BigQuery, or Synapse.

  • Experience with version control platforms such as GitHub or Azure DevOps.

  • Experience with agile management tools like Jira, GitHub Projects, or Azure DevOps.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to drive change.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience configuring Helm charts, writing Terraform, administrating Azure and/or AWS, and working with Docker.

  • Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible.

  • Ability to clearly articulate pros and cons of various technologies, document use cases, solutions, and recommendations.

  • Preferred cloud certifications (Azure or AWS).

  • Client-facing skills for engaging with a range of stakeholders from SMEs to key executives.

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including skill sets, experience, training, security clearances, licensures, certifications, and other business needs.
