Graphic Designer at Catakor - Remote US Only — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
Important for Nomads: Despite being listed on a remote job board, this role explicitly restricts applicants to those currently based in the United States. This is not a location-independent opportunity — candidates physically outside the U.S. will not be considered, regardless of timezone overlap or async capabilities.
For digital nomads who hold U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, this role could technically be performed remotely from within the U.S., but the geographic restriction limits your ability to travel internationally while employed. Common U.S.-based nomad arrangements (slow travel within states, working from U.S. cities like Austin, Nashville, or Miami itself) would likely be compatible, but working abroad — even short-term on a tourist visa — would conflict with the U.S.-only requirement.
What to look for instead: If you're a graphic designer seeking true location independence, prioritize roles that explicitly state "open to all timezones," "LATAM/Europe welcome," or list no geographic restrictions. Look for async-first companies with overlap windows rather than strict presence requirements. Roles at fully distributed companies (e.g., those hiring via We Work Remotely without location restrictions) are better suited to a nomadic lifestyle.
