Position Summary
Monitor property grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance. Responsibilities include:
- Maintain the appearance of fountains, planters, and other grounds features by cleaning, replacing, or making repairs.
- Install new flowers, bulbs, grass, trees, and shrubs.
- Maintain flower beds, baskets, and boxes by watering, removing weeds, trimming, and performing other maintenance.
- Replace and transplant trees, flowers, and shrubs; trim and prune trees and shrubs.
- Trim and edge grass in areas that mowers cannot reach; maintain lawns by mowing, edging, and raking leaves.
- Install, maintain, and operate irrigation systems.
- Remove and bag trash from all exterior trash cans.
- Operate dump trucks, tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles to transport equipment, supplies, materials, and debris.
- Wash, clean, and re-fuel all equipment after use.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report defective equipment, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
- Complete safety training and certifications.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; protect company assets.
- Support team to reach common goals and adhere to quality expectations and standards.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and up and down ladders.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Snow removal and ice management maintenance (if applicable).
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
- Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
- License or Certification: Valid Driver's License
