Traveler-Friendly Insight

Remote-Friendly Across Europe — This role is explicitly fully remote for anyone based in Europe (excluding Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine), making it a strong fit for digital nomads already based on the continent or holding EU/Schengen residency.

Timezone Flexibility: While the job description doesn't mandate specific core hours, working closely with labeling teams and colleagues across European and North American offices suggests you'll want overlap with CET/CEST business hours (roughly 9 AM–6 PM Central European Time). This is manageable from most of Europe and even parts of West Africa or the Middle East.

Visa Considerations: Several European countries offer digital nomad visas well-suited to this role:

  • Portugal: Digital Nomad Visa (D8) — affordable cost of living in Lisbon (~€1,800–€2,500/month for a comfortable lifestyle)
  • Spain: Digital Nomad Visa — Barcelona or Valencia offer vibrant tech communities (~€2,000–€3,000/month)
  • Estonia: Digital Nomad Visa — Tallinn is very affordable (~€1,400–€2,000/month) with strong tech infrastructure

No salary is listed, but senior AI/ML engineers in Europe typically earn €70,000–€120,000 annually. At the lower end, this comfortably supports a nomadic lifestyle in Lisbon or Tallinn; at the higher end, it offers significant savings even in pricier cities like Amsterdam or Zürich.

No explicit perks like coworking allowances or equipment stipends are mentioned — worth clarifying during the interview process.
