Remote HR Coordinator at Salesloft - Work From Anywhere US — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This role is fully remote and open to anyone located anywhere in the United States — a solid fit for digital nomads who maintain a US address or legal residency. However, there are a few important caveats for location-independent workers to consider.
Timezone flexibility is limited. As a People Operations Coordinator, you'll be working closely with a global team spanning India, Mexico, and the US, and serving as the first point of contact for employees and managers. This implies a degree of real-time responsiveness during business hours, making this role low-flexibility for async-only nomads. Expect a standard US business hours schedule (likely ET or PT overlap).
Visa considerations: Since this is a US-only role, candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This rules out tourist-visa nomads or those on non-work visas. The US does not currently have a dedicated digital nomad visa, so you'd need existing work authorization (citizen, green card, or valid work visa).
Salary context for nomads: At $50,000–$70,000/year, purchasing power varies significantly by location:
- Lisbon, Portugal: Not applicable — role restricted to US residents.
- Within the US: $50–70K goes much further in cities like Tulsa, OK or Boise, ID vs. NYC or SF.
- Best nomad strategy: Base yourself in a low-cost US state (e.g., Texas, Florida — no state income tax) to maximize take-home pay.
No travel perks, coworking stipends, or equipment allowances are explicitly mentioned. This is a contract-to-hire role, so benefits may be limited during the initial 3-month period.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
At Salesloft, our People Operations Coordinator is foundational to a high-performing People team. Each coordinator embeds with their assigned business function(s) (e.g., Engineering, Marketing, Sales) to provide full employee lifecycle support, from offer through exit. As the first point of contact for employees and managers, coordinators deliver high-volume, high-accuracy service across HR transactions, data, leave, employee relations support, and employee questions, creating a consistently excellent employee experience.
Coordinators partner closely with People Business Partners (PBPs), keeping work moving, data clean, and the PBP fully informed. They also work alongside Total Rewards, Benefits and Mobility, and Talent Acquisition so programs run smoothly. Each coordinator serves as the expert for an assigned country, bringing local compliance knowledge, language, and time zone coverage to the team.
Working within a shared services model, coordinators cover for one another across functions during peak periods and absences, and bring back improvements that strengthen the whole team. This is a broad, high-visibility role and a clear path toward People Business Partner or People Operations leadership.
Time Allocation:
- 60–70% supports your assigned business function(s) and their People Business Partner: lifecycle transactions, employee data, questions, ER support, and people programs.
- 30–40% supports the broader People team: assisting Total Rewards with compensation and benefits cycles, partnering with People Systems on HiBob, data and reporting, and supporting Talent Acquisition through offer-to-onboarding handoffs. You'll also serve as the expert for your assigned country and cover for teammates during peak periods.
The balance shifts with the business calendar — expect more Total Rewards work during open enrollment and compensation cycles. This is reviewed regularly throughout the year.
This role begins as a three-month contract with the opportunity to convert to a full-time, permanent Salesloft position based on business needs and performance. The contract period gives you the chance to learn the team, the systems, and the business function you support — and gives us the chance to work together before making a long-term commitment. We will check in with you along the way so you know how things are going.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lifecycle Administration. Manages the employee lifecycle for the assigned business function, from offer through exit. Prepares offer letters, coordinates background checks, I-9 and right-to-work verification, and runs onboarding and offboarding including exit surveys, so every transition is accurate and on time.
- Employee Data & Records. Maintains accurate employee data in HiBob and ADP. Processes hires, changes, promotions, transfers, terminations, and org updates, and audits records and personnel files to keep data clean and audit-ready.
- HR Case Management. Serves as the first point of contact for employee and manager questions through people@ and HappyFox. Resolves routine requests promptly and escalates complex or sensitive issues to People Business Partners and specialists.
- Mobility & Benefits Support. Serves as the first point of contact for benefits questions and partners closely with the Benefits and Mobility Specialist to keep PBPs informed on mobility cases.
- PBP, ER & Programs Support:
- PBP Partnership & Employee Relations Support. Partners with the assigned People Business Partner through weekly syncs, sharing context for full visibility. Supports ER cases under PBP direction by maintaining documentation and the ER tracker, coordinating investigation logistics, and preparing PIP and termination paperwork.
- Program Administration. Project manages the promotion process for the assigned business function, tracking and documenting each promotion through processing. Supports compensation cycle execution and submits roles for compensation analysis, following up with leaders and tracking turnaround.
- Survey, QBR & Talent Support. Manages engagement surveys in the system and compiles data and pre-reads for leadership reviews. Supports the QBR process and prepares data and insights for talent calibration conversations.
- Reporting, Analytics & Compliance Support. Fulfills data requests and runs standard reports and headcount reconciliations. Supports audits, country-specific filings, I-9 compliance, record retention, policy acknowledgments, and manages vendor invoices.
- Process Improvement. Establishes and maintains SOPs so the team delivers consistent service across pods. Flags recurring case themes and tests HRIS and workflow changes, turning patterns into improvements for the whole team.
- Country Expertise. Serves as the expert for an assigned country, bringing knowledge of local employment practices and compliance requirements, along with language and time zone coverage. Reviews country-specific documents, supports local filings and vendor relationships, and keeps the team current on changes in local requirements.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for a service-minded, detail-obsessed People professional who takes pride in getting the work right the first time. You understand that every offer letter, record update, and employee question is someone's experience of the company, and you treat each one that way. You are comfortable being the first point of contact for employees and managers, and you know when to resolve a request yourself and when to bring in a People Business Partner or specialist.
You handle confidential information with discretion and communicate clearly in writing. You are equally at home working through a high volume of transactions and spotting the pattern behind them — and you bring ideas back that make the whole team better. You enjoy partnering with business leaders, adapt easily across time zones and cultures, and want to build toward a career as a People Business Partner or in People Operations leadership.
THE TEAM:
Our People Operations Coordinators, PBPs, and specialists work as one team on a shared goal, with clear ownership. Coordinators are the front door of the People organization: warm, responsive, and exact, with the pride in getting it right that earns managers' and employees' trust. We are a global team across India, Mexico, and the United States. We cover for one another and share what we learn so every pod gets better.
Values: Move as One, Evidence over Ego, Lead from the Front, Make Your Mark, Customer-Inspired
THE SKILL SET:
- 2–4 years in HR operations, shared services, or HR administration
- Hands-on HRIS experience and experience with a case management tool (JIRA, HappyFox, ServiceNow, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail, discretion with confidential data, and clear written communication
- Comfort supporting business leaders and managers, and working across time zones and cultures
- Exposure to global employment practices and multi-country HR administration (preferred)
- Experience supporting a high-growth or sales-led organization (preferred)
- Experience with process documentation, reporting, or workflow automation (preferred)
