Remote Compensation Analyst at Hims & Hers - US — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
Hims & Hers explicitly advertises a talent-first flexible/remote work approach, which is a positive signal for location-independent workers. However, there are important caveats for digital nomads to consider before applying.
This is a 6-month temporary contract based in the US. While the listing doesn't specify required office days, the role involves close collaboration with HR, Payroll, and cross-functional teams — suggesting some synchronous availability during US business hours (likely ET or PT) will be expected. Day-to-day inbox monitoring duties further imply consistent availability within a standard workday.
From a visa perspective, US-based workers could theoretically work remotely from abroad on certain digital nomad visas. Popular destinations worth comparing:
- Lisbon, Portugal: Cost of living ~$2,000–$2,800/month for a comfortable lifestyle; Portugal's digital nomad visa is available but this role's temporary/contract nature may complicate eligibility.
- Bangkok, Thailand: ~$1,200–$1,800/month; Thailand's LTR visa suits remote workers, but US tax obligations remain regardless of location.
- Medellín, Colombia: ~$1,000–$1,600/month; Colombia's digital nomad visa is accessible for US citizens staying up to 2 years.
Since no salary is published, it's hard to gauge purchasing power. The temporary nature of the role (6 months) limits long-stay visa planning. This role suits US-based remote workers more than long-term nomads — look for permanent remote roles if you need full location flexibility.
