Patient Coordination Specialist - Remote PST Role — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This role is remote but not location-flexible for nomads. It requires strict adherence to Pacific Standard Time (PST), 8:30 AM–5:00 PM Monday–Friday, which translates to late-night or early-morning hours in most popular nomad destinations — making it poorly suited for those hopping between time zones.
The job is explicitly scoped to Philippines-based contractors (NBI Clearance is required), so this is not an open-global remote role. If you're a Filipino freelancer working from home, this is a stable work-from-home arrangement, but not a "work from anywhere" lifestyle role.
At $5–$6/hour (roughly $800–$960/month full-time), here's how that compares to cost of living in common remote-work locations:
- Metro Manila / Cebu (Philippines): Comfortable — median monthly expenses for a single person can range from $400–$700, leaving a reasonable margin.
- Bangkok, Thailand: Tight — budget living starts around $800–$1,000/month, leaving little room.
- Medellín, Colombia: Not viable — mid-range living costs $900–$1,200/month.
The role does provide optional VPN access, which is a minor travel perk, but the PST schedule constraint and Philippine-specific clearance requirements make this unsuitable for true location-independent work.
